Moot Secretariat

The LAWASIA Moot Standing Committee typically requires a team of volunteers to assist in organizing, managing and supervising the competition. Volunteer members of the Moot Secretariat are required to be on-site throughout the competition period which typically runs over a weekend or as in the International Rounds over several days.

Voluntary opportunities include liaising with moot judges, working with students volunteers, performing marketing and fund raising functions, teaching in moot workshops, researching and writing articles, liaising with the press and publications, updating the competition websites, organising and managing the Moot Leadership Camp and other specific projects. Volunteers will have to bear own cost of travel. However, meals and light refreshments during the course of the moot competition will be provided.

Currently there volunteer opportunities for the Malaysian National Rounds, Kuala Lumpur to be held on 8-9 August 2010 and International Rounds to be held in New Delhi, India from 10-14 November 2010.
